The Sanatan Philosophy and Scriptures (SPS) Central Committee took proactive steps to preserve the spiritual and historical integrity of Chandranath Dham, Sitakunda by engaging with representatives of YPSA (PKSF) regarding the misleading highway billboard titled "Chandranath Pahar." Understanding the importance of this sacred site for Sanatanis, YPSA responded with sincerity and assured that the billboard would be removed and replaced with the correct inscription, "Chandranath Mahatirtha."
This was not the first time SPS had successfully advocated for the rightful representation of Sanatani heritage. Previously, YPSA had installed a similar nameplate at the passenger shed near the foothills of Chandranath Dham. However, upon acknowledging the concerns of the Sanatani community, they removed it in the presence of SPS local representatives and appropriately renamed it "Seating Area for Pilgrims." This serves as a testament to how constructive dialogue can lead to meaningful change.
While SPS appreciates the cooperation shown by YPSA, we remain committed to closely monitoring every development to ensure that no anti-Sanatan interests are silently accepted in Chandranath Dham, Sitakunda. We urge all Sanatanis to stand with us in the SPS Sitakunda Project as we continue to undertake constructive initiatives to uphold the sanctity of this revered pilgrimage site.
